Australian Foundation For CDKL5 Research
The Australian Foundation for CDKL5 Research Limited is a not-for-profit active in CDKL5 awareness and disability advocacy to do their part in supporting equality and inclusiveness to all people despite their level of functioning. CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder is a rare genetic condition resulting in global developmental delay, uncontrollable seizure activity (Epilepsy), non-verbal, non-weightbearing, vision impaired children with sleep disturbances, Gut motility issues and other symptoms due to brain development problems. These kids are given a poor prognosis with males more severely affected due to the mutation being on the X chromosome (males only have one copy).
